Pretty good for the cost
Having been in an accident where footage made all the difference, I always keep an extra dashcam for when using rentals. This one is easy to install, quick, doesn’t need permanent placement (so can take it out when returning the rental), and a great insurance policy when not in your own vehicle. Good quality, ease, and price!

Reliable Dash Cam
I’ve had this same dash cam before. First of all, it saved me during an accident that I had in my previous car. It’s reliable, sturdy, and a convenient interface to use. It tracks and logs the speed, navigation, as well as having a pretty solid camera for day and night drives. My biggest regret is not getting an additional camera to view behind me! I’ve also opted to add a separate USB dongle that plugs directly into my home link mirror in my Mazda. It also has a built in battery that can charge up to be used at night during park mode so there is no need for a hard wiring kit!

Updated 01-13-2024; Maybe i had the bad apple of the bunch.. But Seller has made things right..
Edited 01/13/2024I have been working with the manufacturer on my camera purchase.. I had some issues that came up with my original purchase and the seller expressed a desire to work with me to get my problems resolved.. I can say I appreciate their customer service.. Holly, the rep I have been in contact with is amazing.. She has worked around my scheduling. Completed most of our tasks via email. And in my opinion – Amazing!! She hasn’t been able to solve every issue that I had, but somethings are just not solvable. LOL But it wasn’t because she didn’t try.My edited review is as follows:After much anticipation, the camera arrived.. The box was in tact and undamaged. Opened it up and all was still looking like it should.. That is where the road ends.. The camera feels well made.. The buttons for programming and options was nice sized, especially for a camera that is so small. Following the instructions, i allowed it to charge the recommended half hour prior to programming.. The programming was user friendly, and went off without a hitch. I installed the memory card, and yet again it all went off without a hitch.. I formatted the card, and installed the camera..The method to install the camera is a thin sheet of static cling type plastic. I had my doubts but it seems to have held it in tact with no signs of cling failure (Edit, I am happy to say that after 5 months the “cling” is still intact and the camera is secured.. I have had not problems with it moving or otherwise becoming out of adjustment YAY).. .. The way it attaches permanently to the cling sheet which then attaches to the windshield, is different from the suction cup types that I have had in the past.. At first i wasn’t sold on the method of attachment, but after having had it survive a TN summer and now middle of winter. I give it a thumbs up. The only thing i could suggest to the manufacturer is to make more cling sheets available for purchase or made them to where they can be removed and then reattached like the 3M hooks. ) On my initial install I took the camera down to take it inside to work with it. Removal of the sticky film was no issue at all.. NO mess on my windshield or anywhere else.. But Take it from me. after 5 hours of sitting in the open air that sticky side attracted every piece of lint and dust in a 20 mile radius.. Mine latched onto every speck of dust and pollen due to air quality and the adhesives. But with a fine layer of dust on the surface the adhesive was a done deal. On the plus side – there are two of these “Clingy” things in the box!!! If there hadn’t been an extra I quite possibly may have been driving around with it duct taped to my dashboard. .. i transfer my footage from my camera to my pc daily.. When I saw that this camera had wifi, i thought it would connect to my home wifi, which would allow me to connect to the camera from my pc. Unfortunately that is not the case. (Sadly even the replacement camera cant change what didn’t exist to begin with. SO no direct contact between your home network and the camera.. It does set up a secure direct connection to your phone or tablet. Which is better than having to drag in in everyday to download the information from the camera card. The security of the network i wont say, because i honestly don’t know much about security and wireless.. It is secured with a password. which was set by me and was my choosing, so no one would be able to just walk up and sync with my dashcam. That makes me feel better about wireless settings.. One thing worth noting is that the cameras wifi network turns off once you disconnect. This is a huge thing for me. because sometimes we get busy and forget to turn the camera network So no one can just wander by and start viewing your hot steamy traffic photos of bumper to bumper emotional exchanges .To get to that camera network, you are going to need the app. The App for the camera is is really nice. It installed to my iPhone without any issues; it doesn’t cause any lagging or sloppy replay . Logging in and setup again went without a hitch.. The downfall to this app is that you can only download the images and information to your phone or tablet.. WHich this may or may not be an issue for you.. IF you just use it for “on board” witness aspect, this would be perfect).. (but for me it is creates a few extra steps, but as you can tell I survive. LOL But it could be a pain if you live in an apartment complex. But one the plus side the camera xd card can be removed relatively easy and taken out of the camera with out issue! 🙂 ).. NOTE** Don’t order the card that amazon suggests. I had problems with that one and it was returned.. The seller suggests a specific card in the listing.. Take their advice. Order and use that card, you will thank me.. ..THe following information has been removed. It contained multiple issues that pertained to a unit that was faulty.. The new camera has performed as expected.. It was a pleasure to, Follow the instructions first, charge the camera, install it, which was even easier for me because i had the wiring and location already set.. (I cheated on the install since it already had been done.) Once it was installed and i plugged it up. this camera came to life and the blinking red light let me know I was good to go.. Again the set up was relatively easy.. It did take a few minutes to familiarize myself with the additional features this camera offers.. but No complaints from me.. In my original camera, the menus were slow to launch, laggy when scrolling through the options. I have not noticed any of that with the replacement.. Ive got my fingers crossed that my luck stays on this course. The first time i had seen the image on the screen at night it was awesome. The screen is no larger than my previous camera size, but the image is like seeing daylight for the first time after trying to read in the dark.. THumbs up on the display!! The night vision worked remarkably.. With my old camera the images were dim and dark. with limited visibility.. This cameras display is like looking out of my windshield. And the video is recorded that was as well. The ideas and theory behind this camera are amazing and with some select tweaks or improvements, the camera can give some serious heat to the competition. With only a few slight complaints, i still believe this camera can be asset to any auto owner, whether its one car or a fleet.Pros:-Great night vision,-large buttons -awesome phone app for IOS devices.-wifi feature is nice.-lots of installation hooks and pieces to install the camera with.-Feels well made and is sturdy.. no hollow plastic body for this bad boy!! Firm and feels solidly constructed.Cons:-The cord could use another 3 feet in order to be fully concealed in a full size truck/SUV..-Better or reusable adhesive strips for attachment at the window.-Wifi doesn’t allow for remote access or direct connection to the camera from your home network.*** Additional note worthy items:_ App (desktop) – There is an app that the camera writes to your memory card. It is for use with a desktop computer to view the files and videos from the camera.. In windows 10 i found this to be awkward.. Instead of being able to just go to the “next” film, you have to find the file and click there to start playing.. It doesn’t compile a play list in the traditional sense. The pc app can cause some hangs in windows 10. but win10 is another review all together.. but the app and its features is nice, but expect widows to occasionally have the occasional issue. I just restarted the app and carried on!! .._Power On/Off – When powered by a cigarette lighter, the camera will remain on as long as the lighter port has power.. If your cigarette lighter is on for any substantial length of time, your camera will be as well.. My old car the power was always on.. SO the camera didn’t sense when i was starting or stopping the engine because of the constant power supply. IF aut on or off is important for you, its my advise to have it hard wired into your cars fuse box… .._Review Star rating – I only gave this camera 4 stars. It did have some minor areas of improvement. Overall it is still a good camera, but some small things.. And even though the seller has made me happy, and i cant say specifically why, but my first camera had its issues. But the seller has taken care of the situation, hence my update on 01/12/24

No not Buy
After 3 or 4 drives. it stopped working Completly. i took it inside thinking it was not charging like the wire got broken.. Even buying a new wire to try and charge; Still will not work. It will turn on and shut off after like 30 seconds. Was a waste of time and money. I hate leaving bad reviews but when one deserves it. Thats how it is.. Probly going to attempt to return it.Other then that.. the GPS works nicely and software is fairly fast to update speeds and gforce

(Updated) Take it with a grain of salt
**UPDATE**After 25 days, I heard back from their director of the Customer Service Team. She tried to address all my issues and an explanation for one of them, internal battery issue. Even though I returned and received a refund, they sent me a new unit free of charge. So today, I tested out the new unit, motion detection, parking mode, and setting changes (everything that went wrong with my 1st unit). Motion detection; after turning off the car I immediately walked in front of it and any motion I made right in front of the camera turned it on. Parking mode; I’m assuming it works, it turns on as soon as I start the vehicle and drive off. Any setting changes saved even after the unit turns off. Customer service passed on that the Motion Detection setting is off by default, so every time your about to turn off the car, you have to select for it to record motion detections. I wish their power adapter at the cigarette lighter had a right angle plug too (just like the plug at the GPS). Their app is okay, alot going on, there are ads and asian characters (?) instead of english, not sure why. The app could be better and more user friendly. I do like the cam though, its 4k and has GPS, but I don’t think its worth the $70-$80 its advertised at. I’ll bump up the cam to 3 stars. (Only changing because it was requested by customer service)BUT I still rate their customer service at a 1 star, took them 25 days to respond, but only after seeing they received a 1 star review.———————————Where to start? The dash cam itself will record when it wants to and when you don’t want it to. The item only worked as a basic camera for me. The camera wouldn’t record when the vehicle was off. Yes the battery was charged, parking mode and motion detection were also on. But the only thing that would trigger either one was closing my door or driving. Which defeated the purpose of parking mode and motion detection. It couldn’t discern the difference between being parked or driving. And yes I also tried contacting customer service numerous times. But good luck getting a hold of them or responding to an email.Next, their customer service is horrible! Easily one of the worst I’ve ever had to deal with. Initially, I sent three emails to their supplied customer service email address that resulted in no troubleshooting replies. They were automatically replies with articles of common issues that had nothing to do with my issue. I didn’t close out my request and stated it didn’t help my issue. Well after not receiving a reply for a few days, I contacted their customer service through the phone again and finally got ahold of someone. All they really did was ask for my email address and stated someone will be contacting me through email instead. I replied another three times with the same exact statement about my issue to three different emails asking the same exact information from me (3 different CS reps?). And then it resulted to…guess what… No replies back. For the hell of it, I called back today, 3 hours before their offices were supposed to close. And guess what their offices are closed. I’m just done with this company. Good luck to anyone who’s been successful, but that wasn’t my case. They could have the best product ever, but I wouldn’t know since I could get zero help.
