A must have resource for every household!
Hardback book. Well organized. Brilliantly organized start to finish. As a resident of the USA I patiently waited for this title to become available this January 2023. Ms. Russell doesn’t push any brands or methods but rather a non-biased approach to keeping a clean and tidy home, regardless of any skill set. A simple guide on how basic resources which are accessible to all can be used to tidy-up and make your home inviting!Great price. Well written. I look forward to a kindle/e-version announcement as well. A great gift for a housewarming invitation, too!

    The title is accurate
Now I know how to clean things I didn’t know I should be cleaning. Well written with her amazing British humor thrown in. It was not a boring read at all even though it is literally just about what to clean, when to clean, and how to clean it.

The authority on how to clean
Usually, books on how to clean are one part paid unproven advice, one part wishful thinking and only one part tried and true. Not this. Written from years of real-world experience, Russell explains exactly how to clean everything, no more and no less. I already know how to clean many things, but got this because I don’t trust anyone else on the stains to come.

    It’s okay
The purchase itself was good, nothing wrong with the seller. I pre-ordered this and I did get it shortly after it’s release. But unless you are completely stupid and incompetent on how to clean simple things, then by all means purchase this book. If you were looking for some cleaning hacks, buy another one. This is a read for someone who doesn’t know what a broom or a rag is. Not entirely happy with the book itself and wishes I didn’t waste my money

Good advice and a succinct guide to most cleaning challenges.
I bought this product having followed the author on Instagram and becoming hooked on her crossover advice on home cleaning. The book is a useful and charming distillation of her advice on social media. To the point where I almost hear her voice while reading. So far the advice has been flawless and for the price it is a no-brainer purchase.

    Thank you Ann
As a novice cleaner who just recently started living by himself this book is a goldmine. I especially love the part on how to clean the bathroom and kitchen. In my mind, these two were always more ‘complicated’ than usual. Worth every penny to me. Highly recommended!

I’ve purchased three copies of this book for my late teen/young adult nephews. It was well received and the eldest was really excited to get a copy. His words, “Oh that’s actually sick! I need that!.”😊

I’ve followed Ann Russell on TikTok for a long time now and was delighted to hear that she was condensing the advice she’s given over hundreds of videos into a book.I think this book is spot on – it doesn’t preach, or try to convince you to do anything you’re not sold on or comfortable with. Advice is delivered as suggestions and tips rather than hard instructions. And I feel Ann writes inclusively, acknowledging the physical and mental health struggles that can get in the way of achieving our home ideals. Each room section contains both quick fix target spots, and deeper-clean considerations, and at absolutely no point is the reader made to feel like there’s a standard they have to hit to be ‘adequate’ or ‘normal’. As a result, there’s no room for defeatism – the reader is encouraged to do what they can, with tips on how to maximise results, but to also not hold themselves to someone else’s standards.I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth of this book. The title is ambitious, and the contents cover everything from the expected (useful cleaning supplies including what to avoid, how to tackle common rooms) through to the not-what-I’d-have-thought-to-find-here-but-brilliantly-useful (what to do if you discover a sudden leak or fire in your home, how to fix things, what to do you when you move in to a rental property). In the current climate, the sections about keeping warm in the house, and drying clothes etc are particularly relevant. There’s even a section on how to enter the cleaning trade if that interests you.I’d solidly recommend ‘How to clean everything’ to anyone who’d like guidance about how to clean and run a house, particularly those about to move into new accommodation for the first time (including students). It’s perfect to dip into, and has a handy index at the back. Ann writes very clearly, and with a lovely gentle humour. This isn’t like a 10-step-plan book where you come away feeling able to master a skill for all of ten minutes before reality sets in (and you never read the book again); this is a very readable and friendly aid to help you clean and manage a home effectively, and might help you make a number of little changes that will add up to a long-lasting difference.
