    Only had to modify the bracket for the speaker size. But it was removing snap off brackets that were designed to fit miscellaneous speakers or be removed. Great product, fitment was great and after 3 months of use I’ve had no issues.

    Work great – you might need to remove some of the plastic hangoffs
    Installed into a 2009 RAV4 and they fit great. I did have to remove several hangoffs from the adapter in order for the ring to fit properly – and once that was done – it was an easy install. I recommend this over trying to re-use any existing adapters.

    1999 Toyota Carina JDM to USA Import @JCM Fix
    I installed it in a 1999 Toyota Carina 2.0 for the rear deck speakers and it worked but I was only able to attach the screws at two points. The lock nuts provided are super cheap and flimsy. If you try to loosen them, the tabs within the screw bends in and it can no longer be used. I had to use different fasteners to get the job done

    perfect fit for 2022 4runner rear door and tail gate 6.5 speakers.
    this Metra 82-8148 adapter rings will work on both the rear door and tail gate areas. i had the scotch SAT6 and they are narrow & jbl 6.5 has no holes to mount too i would need to use the adapter rings in the jbl box.the Metra is perfect for 6.5 to 6.75 speakers. bolts up on the ring lip.

    Fits 8th gen Camry rear doors
    Amazon told me this would not fit 2022 Camry. I cross checked the part number on crutchfield and guess what? It’s does! Simple install. Oh one important thing! don’t crimp the adapter wires to the speakers before routing them through the window provided.

    Instructions are trash but the product works if you use your head
    So I bought these for my 2018 RAV4 hybrid and I got them to work but that’s no thanks to the instructions they came with. I got the thing all bolted up just to realize that my speakers didn’t fit in them. This was because of the little tabs on the inside ring of the adapter. I used a pair of wire cutters to break those off without too much difficulty but I only knew to do this from another Amazon review. I’m not usually in the habit of modifying what I believe to be a plug and play adapter. I absolutely read the instructions. They specifically call out the rivets that I may have to drill out but nothing about the tabs. I get that they put those in there so that the adapter can fit more kinds of speakers. That’s is fine by me. Not a mention of it on the instructions is worth me taking a star off for it though.*Edit*Took off another star for the speed nuts. The ones this thing comes with are terrible. I heard a rattling coming from the speaker a few days after install. On two different speakers, the speed nuts had broken. I’m just hand tightening them with a skrewdriver. Had some nuts lying around from a different project and fixed the problem.

    I read on another site that this fits certain Subaru models, including my 2016 Outback (with Harmon Kardon audio). Fit my car perfectly, only works for the rear doors! Install was very easy, great product
