High-tech DashCam with interesting software logarithmic about your driving style
All the fancy high-tech features are built into this dashcam that you can control with push buttons or with the Botslab app. I initially activated the driver safety features, but after the Dashcam software kept saying that I was making aggressive turns and telling me to Drive Safely, I turned that feature off. The software kept making this warning when I was turning safely on a 3 lane and 2 lane dedicated turn. Apparently, it thinks that a safe turn can only be done from 1 lane to 1 lane. But other than that it’s a big upgrade from my old traditional Cobra Dashcam. The installation and setting up was fairly easy. I found it interesting that the instruction booklet mentioned 2 popular Chinese brands of cellphones and how to sync the dashcam with these Chinese phones. What’s up with that?

    Very poor instructions
I bought this while it was on sale at Amazon and found poor instructions incredibly hard to follow. I hooked it up to the computer directly so that I could work on it and test it before installing it in my car. Being on vacation, I would not be able to install it in the car and have it working until I got back in two months. If there were any problems, I needed to be able to return it so I tested it early. Bluetooth would not connect, and I finally had to use Wi-fi. The instructions were to scan the bar code at the top of the unit. There were none, however there was a small bar code sticker on the mount. The system came back as an unidentified code. It then invited me to do so manually but there was no way to actually copy the numbers below the barcode, one reason being because I couldn’t see the miniaturized 0.25 font type. But then the screen came up as I got it connected to wireless and magically, a menu came up on the screen, something the manual could have indicated. Bluetooth still didn’t work. Another issue was that I bought something that identified itself as a 360 dash cam but the suggestions in trying to identify my camera by looking at a picture showed only a G980H model camera. Looking at the fine print on the bottom of the package did indeed show that model number in small print, but it took some time to figure this out, the box having been placed upright thereby covering the bottom. I never did get the Bluetooth working. After recording a few moments of my environment, I tried playing it back on my cell phone. One problem is that it doesn’t seem to playback on a computer and has to put files on your cell phone when you download them. The other problem seemed to be that Auto rotation on my phone would not work So the video would not rotate to a different aspect ratio. Finally, they give you a 64 gigabyte card and unless you disassemble the packaging completely the card is not noticed and I finally ended up buying one.I will install this in my vehicle in a couple of months when we return and present a different review after I see how it works.

Easy setup and ready to use
I setup it by myself in 15 minutes. The Size of the camera is perfect not too big and not too small. The image quality is great. I downloaded the app to review the videos and pictures. It only allows you to look back videos while you are in your car and the car is on. I like how it tells you the front car is start moving and there’s a person in front of your car. I like the dash cam count the bumper time as emergency and start to recording. (On uneven road driving)

    Previous Recordings👎
The only thing i don’t like with it is you can’t access your recordings unless the camera is turned on and your next to it, If your not around the camera and need to show a recording you won’t be able to access the previous recording, other than that the product is good and camera is high quality

4K UHD front and rear dash cam
This dash cam model G99OH by Botslab is everything it stated it would be in the ad! I have had so many dash cams that have proven to be a major disappointment, but this one has the BEST clarity and VERY easy to install and get up and running quickly! The front camera unit has a great wide mounting base and it is securely attached to the window using a guideline tape (clear tape which adds to how well it stays in place). There is no wiggle at all and the camera actually guides the installation with a gridline so you can make sure you’re installing it straight! There is a great tool included to help you hide the cords under the trim (pry tool). Both the front and rear power cords go straight into the front dash cam and they face upward, then you route the long cords as needed. There are QR codes in the manual which provide detailed installation videos. There is an option to hardwire the unit if you so decide, but I simply used the cigarette lighter adapter with USB insert. The picture quality is top notch and a super wide angle view. Something like 170º field of view on the front camera and even the back camera has a pretty wide view also but the front camera quality is bit better. The front camera works great in daylight and also superior night recording (1.5 aperture lets in tons of light and reduces glare). Plus it has a really good sensor (Sony®). The best I’ve seen honestly and I’m feeling very good about the overall quality and performance after several solid weeks of use.Another bonus is it comes with a 64GB micro SD card which you insert facing the viewfinder side. You may need to format it, but that is simple. You chose whether or not you want the camera to record audio. (Some people prefer privacy as do I).There is a built in AI function which can alert you to several things, such as a pedestrian cutting into the camera view, lane departure warning, and if you are dozing off or distracted it will talk to you and let you know you need to refocus. If you don’t like the AI voice you can turn off the audio in the app and you have so many options to customize all settings by simply toggling on or off. There is parking mode sensitivity and many other options. Everything is simple and the app is really a great tool to have for selecting and playing back clips. The date and time will need to be set and then everything will be set with a date/time stamp plus GPS location. You can also use the on-camera buttons to preview clips and make selections. There are three on-camera buttons on the front camera, because it is not a touch screen, but honestly it works great. I would buy another unit for my other car. Overall I’m super pleased and would recommend highly.

Installed in my truck for security, and also driving footage. I’ve had it installed for about a week now.The Botslab dual dash Camera is a high-quality dash cam that offers both front and rear recording in 4K and 1080p resolution, respectively. It comes with a free 64GB SD card, ADAS, Wi-Fi and app control, night vision, built-in gps and G-sensor.Both cameras suit my needs and are very easy to install and access recordings through the app. Both units are sleek and small making them low key and barely visible if installed in the proper place while also providing great quality recordings. Very affordable and reliable. The camera has a wide field of view and clear recording quality, making it a great choice for drivers who want a reliable and feature-rich dash cam. The Wi-Fi and app control allow for easy viewing and sharing of recorded footage.Overall, this dash cam is a great option for those looking for a high-quality, feature-rich dash cam.

Quality is pretty good, video quality is good. Installation is quick, but a lot of the setup can only be done using the phone app, and the app would not connect to the camera WiFi from my Samsung phone, I had to use an iPad to do the setup. The first thing I did was turn off the “chatty” mode, I don’t need a backseat driver. They give you a couple of vinyl cling stickers, make sure you put that on your windshield first before you stick the mount on, it makes it easier to remove later if you want to move the dashcam. Don’t ask me how I know.

After looking for dash cameras in this price range I found the Botslab G980H. It’s my first dashcam and I’m generally very happy with it. Installation was easy, the camera came with all that you need to get it going, clear instructions.Pros:- Night vision is pretty darn good; almost as clear as day video.- Nice pictures and can easily read license plates and street signs in the front.- Super simple install. It is reasonably small and unobtrusive. With glare/reflection on the windshield it’s almost impossible to see and even when not, it’s not very noticeable.- Special and impressive ADAS feature. More peace of mind when driving alone.- The static sheet mounting system that sticks to the window with no adhesive has worked great. I prefer it over the suction cup.- Comes with a 64GB SD card, inserted and ready to go, I don’t have to buy additional SD cards and worry about compatibility.Cons:-Some features need to be paired with hardware, it would be nice to have the option of an adapted buck cable.-There are fewer introductions about the use of the best ADAS system, I think most new drivers will need it.Other than that, have had it for a week and am very pleased with it.

I am extremely satisfied with the BOTSLAB G980H dash cam front and rear. Its sleek and unobtrusive design doesn’t block the driver’s view. The compact size and 2.45″ IPS screen make navigation and playback very convenient. The front camera captures stunning 4K ultra HD footage, thanks to the Sony IMX 415 sensor and STARVIS technology, ensuring clear visibility of license plates and road details even in low-light conditions. Although the rear camera has a resolution of only 1080p, it still performs well within this price range. What surprised me the most is the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) feature. It provides real-time monitoring of the road ahead, offering lane departure warnings and predestrian collision alerts, significantly enhancing driving safety. These features are particularly valuable during long drives or nighttime driving.Additionally, the use of a supercapacitor instead of a traditional battery improves the device’s lifespan and environmental friendliness, allowing it to operate normally under extreme temperatures. This dash cam offers great value for money, and my experience with it has been excellent.

It has good features like warning you for pedestrian, front car starts and aggressive driving if you turn too fast. The collision one is overly sensitive to bump even I have set to low. The most frustrating issue to me right now is that I live in an apartment so I have to use Bluetooth to connect. After the first connection, I haven’t been able to connect back to the device but I can’t return anymore.
