Great sound quality for the price
Solid bass and just generally good across the spectrum. It’s great having volume control on the speaker itself and not just on your phone — gives you much more flexibility, and the ability to have it super soft or super loud.The only negative things I can think of are that the power on/off noises should have a volume so they can’t be incredibly loud, and black icons on black buttons is something that seems to be common on Bluetooth speakers and makes absolutely zero sense.

Power issues
This speaker produces decentbass, but realistically is not going to give you that deep sound that larger 12′ subwoofers will. The most annoying thing is how it auto turns off when not being used for about 15 minutes. I guess this is an energy saving move, but I don’t appreciate this as I am always in between sound and have to always manually turn it back on. This happens all the time lately. Also, when the power is low, it will turn off even when a charger is charging. This means that the speaker requires more power than can be used with a charger. This is not good.

Its better than expected but…
I thought this was going to be a “buy, be disappointed and return item” however it was better than I had expected. The biggest down side was that the user manual (pamphlet) said that it was 2*25W RMS and not 80W and 200W peak as advertised on Amazon. Don’t let that get you too down though, this baby packs a punch for its size like all new audio devices these days, it was still impressive. Sound quality was not Bose or JBL quality but it was not bad, still better than that small smart speaker, The bass button cuts the highs and emphases the bass, it does have deep bass if placed on a surface and you get in the sweet spot, I actually like it better when the bass feature is turned off, it’s really clear and the bass is still present enough to enjoy. It sure beats using your phone for music and it does crank if you want to rock out the neighborhood as you pass by on your bike or if you’re with your bestie pack, we have all done it as kids and this would have given my old Sanyo boom box tape player a run for its money and does not need 12 D batteries LOL It is heavy to hold for extended periods, it’s about 7 lbs. I would say but you could make a harness for it (it does not come with one). The light show is really good, being a Gen-X I love the sound meter in the handle, that is what drew me to this unit anyway and it does not disappoint, I love it. The lights on the side speakers are nice too (I think everyone loves electric light organs). Needless to say, its staying here and going on my scooter, it jams, just buy it if it’s still on sale, if not the JBL units sound a bit better and the Bose units are really tight but expensive and will not rock out loud like this bad boy. Took me a few tries to find the power button, its not on the end like you would expect and I was pressing the bass button trying to turn it on for a minute LOL In the garage on my bench it rocks the whole driveway all the way to the street with no mistake. Can’t say how well the water proof works but you have to have the back ports covered and salt will eventually cause damage if not washed off (so the instructions say). Pared to my phone with no problems and works great with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. To fully charge it as received took about 2 hours, I would say it charges in 4 hours from dead but that is just a guess, I did use a ThinkPad laptop USB-C power supply not your 7W dongle so results may vary. There are anti-slip rubber pads on the bottom (I like that), it will move on you if it did not. When strapped to the handlebars on my Laotie TI-30 it shakes the scooter, you can feel the bass in the handle bars and your feet, it will jam enough for ya. If you want it louder, get 2 and pare them up together, they link to form a stereo pair. Also, this is a stereo “boom stick” I will call it, not mono like the Mega Boom or JBL stuffs, so if you sit directly in front of it you hear stereo sound, the sound is directional and plays forward only but you will still hear it everywhere but the stereo image will be lost if not sitting directly in front of it. If you sit it on a hard surface, you can tilt the unit back and it sits pointing up on an angle, not sure if it was designed to do that (might scratch it a bit on concrete) but its nice if you place it on the ground (where the bass sounds the best). On the beach it will sound better sitting on your cooler. You will not hear bass below ~45Hz so that really deep dub-bro-step stuff is lost but it will still bang the box IMHO😉

Pretty loud for a pretty small speaker
It’s amazing the sound quality is great and it’s actually pretty loud for the size is you’re looking for a portable speaker with an amazing sound this is the speaker for you love it
