Surprisingly Good Sound
This OHAYO Portable Bluetooth Speaker is priced like a budget level product. IMHO… It over performs in all metrics.Battery and Bluetooth specs are excellent. I just successfully walked around the house with my phone and heard the speaker clearly 50 feet away with no direct line of sight because of walls. This is the best Bluetooth performance I have ever experienced. The IPX7 waterproof rating means that this speaker can be used for any reasonable outdoor activity. I have to admit that the lighting effects are lost on me. I like that I can shut them off if I want to but they also don’t bother me that much. What I really like is the sound quality. The dynamic range is quite good. Bass is full and tight with a smooth, clear mid range and a very crystal clear high end. Two of these units paired would make as good a bookshelf stereo system as I have ever seen and heard.Right now, as I am trying write this, while jamming to Ann Wilson’s Fierce Bliss, happy as can be in a moment of audio rapture, I am realizing that I am so overtaken by this amazing listening experience that I can not form my thoughts and write this review. I had to turn off the music to get back to work.This excellent bluetooth speaker has an interesting cylindrical design. Refer to the ad-listing photo of the speaker layout and you will see the mids and highs come from one side of the speaker barrel. The lows come from both ends. And, interestingly, each end has different frequencies. That means that if you stand the unit on its end, you are muffling the frequencies coming from the end the speaker is sitting on. Consequently you will get the best sound that the unit can deliver by laying the speaker barrel on its side with the light bar facing away from you and with the control buttons facing up. The problem is the cylinder needs something to stop it from rolling around. I think OHAYO should have included a small base block that features a rounded top to match the speaker barrel to solve this problem for table top or shelf placement. I guess that is where the lanyard comes in. By hanging the speaker neither end will be muffled but then you can’t aim the actual speaker drivers where you want to. No matter what OHAYO claims about their 360 degree surround sound, IMHO… This bluetooth speaker will sound best when placed as I just described.This OHAYO Portable Bluetooth Speaker has one additional feature that I am going to utilize regularly. It is also an excellent hands free phone accessory. I can set it on a table or desk top next to my phone and talk through it for a superior experience, compared to the phone speaker, for both call parties. IMHO… Use it for what it is designed for and you will be thrilled.

Great value and feels quality
I’m pleasantly surprised with this speaker.The fabric cover makes it easy to hold and gives it an overall luxurious feel. The buttons all have a nice *Click* to them which may seem insignificant but not knowing if you’ve pressed a button can be frustrating.The speaker can be placed vertically on either side (Top or bottom). This is important to note because the drivers are located on one side of the speaker (opposite of the buttons) and it’s hard to orient the speaker when placed horizontally so the vertical orientation is more advantageous.The sound is great as long as the speaker’s drivers are facing towards the listening position. The two passive drivers (or bass radiators as some people call them) definitely extend the low end nicely. My 14 month old daughter likes to push on them and they seem to be quite durable. The sound is great for closer quarters listening since some sound might be lost when outdoors in a wide open area. This speaker will fill a room with sound but doesn’t really have enough power to fill a busy outdoor area. Rule of thumb for general social speaker placement is to place far away far away at a moderate volume. This way no one get’s annoyed at having to speak over the noise too much. This small speaker can’t really do that as effectively as a bigger, more powerful one.My two gripes with the speaker are the EQ adjustment and the lighting controls. There’s no indication as to what EQ it’s being changed to when the button is pressed other than a random noise. Audibly, I can hear that the bass has increased a little on one setting but that’s it. There’s nothing in the directions stating how this is supposed to work. My second gripe (and a minor one) is that I don’t really care for lighting in general, I feel like it only wastes battery which means I have to cycle through several clicks to shut it off each time I use the speaker. I wish there was a one-click option here.Overall, this is a great speaker.9/10

Es un producto muy bueno tiene mucha calidad de sonido

Questo speaker stereo devo dire mi ha piacevolmente sorpreso per le caratteristiche riscontrate.Possiede un audio davvero potente, tanto da poter essere usato anche per festini in casa.La riproduzione rimane sempre cristallina senza alcuna distorsione, neanche al volume massimo con equalizzatore attivo.Nota ancora più positiva risiede nella corpositá dei bassi, che pompano in maniera ben distinta, sopratutto se attivato il boost tramite apposito pulsante (da cui è possibile selezionare 3 tipologie di equalizzazione : vocal per esaltare il parlato, pop per esaltare la musica nei mid e nei bassi , ed appunto infine la possibilità di attivare i bassi avanzati con cui far saltare casa).L’illuminazione dei led reagiscono con i bassi della musica, cambiando colore o pulsando a ritmo. Che è possibile disattivare premendo due volte consecutivamente il pulsante “EQ”.La possibilità di riprodurre musica sia da bluetooth, che da memory card SD, che da cavo aux, rende questo speaker altamente versatile.La carica della batteria ha una lunga durata, oltre ogni mia aspettativa. Infatti adoperandolo a circa il 60/70% del volume, per circa 8/9 ore a settimana, l’ho portato all’esaurimento dell’acqua carica dopo circa 3 settimane . Oltretutto le batterie utilizzate devono essere di buona fattura poiché anche lasciandole per un intera settimana spento, la carica viene mantenuta senza cali di energia (diversamente dagli altri speaker di basso costo, in cui la batteria si esaurisce anche a dispositivo spento data la loro infima qualità) .Che dire, avevo intenzione di acquistare uno speaker sony o jbl, le cui recensioni erano sempre negative nella riproduzione dei bassi, quindi ho voluto virare su un prodotto ad un costo di almeno inferiore di un terzo, ritrovandomi un prodotto di gran lunga superiore ai brand blasonati, che di elevato hanno solo il prezzo di vendita.Consiglio vivamente l’acquisto di questo speaker, ma ancor più ne consiglio la Coppia, poiché con un altra unità è possibile ampliare tutte le qualora che ho appena elencato, dato che attraverso l’apposito tasto, si accoppiano per creare un audio stereo a doppia unità con effetti di equalizzatori ancora più evidenti.In cui la qualità audio diviene talmente tanto evidente, che il livello audio a metà riempie abbondantemente una stanza intera con estremamente potenti da poter essere usato persino all’aperto senza esserti coperto da rumori di traffico e simili.Personalmente è lo speaker che tutti dovrebbero avere a questo prezzo. Oltretutto è davvero sprecato utilizzato per musica “moscia”, infatti esalta il meglio di sé con musica techno, elettronica, dance e tunz tunz da tamarri 😁 grazie ai bassi molto ben solido ed espansivi.
