Will Definitely Start the Party
As you can see in the picture, I own both the PartyBox 110 and now the 710. The 110 is fantastic and if used indoors while plugged in, is loud enough for a gathering of about 40-50 people. However, if a gathering became larger, the 110 simply would become drowned out in the noise of conversation. So, we started using a 310 for gatherings (owned by friends) but the same thing would occur when the gathering would reach about 50-70 people. Even then it could sometimes sound like background noise. We tend to throw larger events (a college student here) so I decided to finally break down and buy the 710 so the sound issue would no longer be prevalent. After watching numerous review videos, they all mentioned how ground-shaking the bass was. Well, I can now tell you, they were not lying.Although this speaker does have to be plugged in, it’s too large to be portable anyway. Having a built-in battery wouldn’t do much anyways because I can’t see a situation where this beast would be used that is not next to a power source. This is not a product you want to bring to the beach. It would make every other beach-goer angry with you.We have used this thing at large gatherings 80+ people inside and it is so loud that the music does not get lost and the bass rattles through the crowds chest. It is truly the center piece of whatever event it is present at. The wheels are nice to move it, but we would just throw it in the backseat of a car and move it place to place. The lights are also really good looking, but the sound is what I spent my money on. For personal use, max volume is definitely overkill. At 50% volume, it seems louder than the 110 on max volume and the bass is definitely deeper. Crank it up to 100% and you have a miniature concert. It also has worked well with DJ boards, if that is a concern. All in all, if you are looking for a semi-portable speaker that can bring sound for a crowd of 80+ people (even 100+) where the 110 and 310 cannot, then pick up the 710. If you are looking for a loud speaker to bring on trips, grab the 110.However, the $800 price tag will gate-keep a lot of people from picking this speaker up. I do believe it is worth the $800 if it is being used as a PARTY box. This speaker is meant for large crowds. Tame listening still sounds amazing, but this beast is supposed to be getting people up out of their seats. Max volume with bass boost will have everyone at the event dancing and singing.9/10 in my opinion, only lacking a point for portability.

STOP LOOKING for a party speaker and buy this one now!
I have been shopping for a sound system to install in my workshop for months. I was looking at putting in a Bose in-ceiling system that would hide away in my surveillance closet and be invisible. However, that was going to cost me a few thousand dollars and take a while to install. I decided on instant gratification and started looking at these party boxes. The 310 was the one i was looking at as it was going to be appropriate for the space I’m putting it in. But then i thought, “why spend $this when i could spend a $few hundred more and get 800 watts?!” So i started looking at reviews, everything from the 310 to the Ultimate edition, and for the money and reviews the 710 won in my eyes. I received it yesterday and set it up, which only took about 20 minutes including downloading and installing new software/firmware and the app on my iPhone. The moment I turned it on and hit ‘Play’, I knew i made the right choice. Let me tell you, I am a stickler when it comes to sound quality, and for the $800 i spent on this, it’s definitely the best for the money I’ve spent and is almost as good as a whole-house system. I have a 2000 square foot building with 4 rooms in it and i can hear it very clearly and crisp anywhere in the building. I don’t care much for the mic/guitar inputs nor the lights, but i can say the lights ARE pretty cool-looking if wanted. Just buy this thing, don’t bother comparing it to others. The only downfall (it’s not for me but might be for some) is that it doesn’t have a battery and is technically not portable. But, it weighs 71 lbs (due to the heavy subs and amp it takes to punch as hard as it does) and should be looked at as a semi-stay-in-place fixture. It has wheels and would be easy to move if you have an extension cord for the backyard, but I’m using it full-time in my studio. LOVE IT!!! Thank you, JBL, for making such an amazing product!**I rarely write a review and i buy a LOT of toys, but it would be injustice to not give this item the praise it deserves given how much I like it.**

Loud , Clear and full of Bass
Worth my money! Itâs very loud and I have yet to turn the volume up all the way! I reach about 50% before I turn it down because itâs already too loud. It has a nice light show that you can take full control of. When it comes to mobility itâs heavy! But since i plan on keep it for the house itâs perfect. I got confused and thought it was also battery powered and itâs not but i didn’t mind it since it is a big speaker and don’t plan on taking it every where with me.

Great first impression
I’m not an audiophile and don’t stay up to date of products in this category. Was not familiar with these at all, then saw / heard one for the first time inside a microbrewery in New Zealand. Definitely got my attention for both the sound and the looks and lights. Bought one for home, mainly for use outside by our pool instead of small, truly portable bluetooth speakers. Agree with all the previous positive reviews about the sound and overall design. The full, rich (and yes, loud) sound with legit base is amazing and travels well in the open air. It’s only been about a month so far. Will update if I run into issues over the longer term.I chose the 710 model because I have to carry it down a few short steps to get it at my pool deck level and then back to store inside. At 61 pounds and its dimensions, it’s not a problem for me but the latest, more powerful speakers are bigger and about 87 pounds and that difference would make it much more of a chore. Definitely something to keep in mind when you’re buying. There’s a limit to bigger = better if you have any stairs involved.I had frequent bluetooth connectivity issues early on but a software update (and maybe use of the speaker’s app) seem to have solved that.

The sound you get for the price is phenomenal! The fact you can pair two together is also amazing but one is more than enough for any house party

The PARTYBOX 710 is definitely bigger than I expected. Compared to my 100s and 300s. This speaker, you feel the music through itâs deep bass. Iâm happy with the 100s or 300s, but the 710 is a different experience.Itâs not that this speaker have all the bells and whistles, I looked closely at the Alto, Behringer, Electro-Voice, QSC, Yamaha and Mackie speakers. All great brands and speakers in their own prospective. But I wanted the true and clear JBL sound. Iâve played, DJ, sold many speaker boxes, even built several in my 40 years experience with speakers, but have never been blown away as I have with this JBL PARTYBOX 710 speaker. It may not be the speaker for everyone or DJ, it has its negatives, but the positives are way more than I expected. SmilesUpdate, just bought my second JBL Partybox 710 to add to my existing system and all I can say is, âWOWâ! The two Partybox 710s along with my other two 100s and two 300s are fantastic to look at and listen too. Just need somewhere big outdoors to play them now! SmilesUpdate/2, Iâm enjoying the 710s so much, I decided to sell my two 300s and buy another pair of 710s. Now I keep a pair at home with my 100s, and another pair of 710s at the cottage. Some of my neighbors at the cottage love to hear them, some complain about them, because they shake their houses! Well, you canât make everyone happy. Smiles
