Cerakote was founded with a mission to develop and manufacture the highest performing line of ceramic coatings in the world. Our focus on high performance applications has spanned industries from automotive, to high-end electronics, eye-wear and more. Cerakote ceramic coatings are used to coat and protect countless consumer and industrial products that you depend on every day.

LASTS AS LONG AS YOU OWN YOUR VEHICLE! – Our chemists developed our Ceramic Coating Headlight Restoration kit IN HOUSE at Cerakote HQ. We aren’t re-bottling another company’s product. This is a CERAMIC coating for cars that chemically bonds to your headlights and provides UV protection for as long as you’ll own your vehicle.
NO POWER TOOLS REQUIRED – Everything is included in the kit for your car. There are no tools required that could potentially damage your headlights or paint. There’s nothing worse than having to call your crazy uncle you haven’t seen since the holidays because he’s got the power tools you need. After he hollers “STAND CLEAR!!”, fires up his wheezing disk sander, runs it off of your headlight and across the paint on your hood.. It’s too late. DON’T BUY A KIT THAT REQUIRES TOOLS!
RESTORES AND PROTECTS FROM UV! – This isn’t the classic bait-and-switch you’re used to. We won’t sell you something that needs to be purchased again in a few months. Our CERAMIC coating wipes provide a layer of UV protection that will last as long as you own your vehicle. We believe in providing our customers the best products on earth, the first time. After all, we’re the chemists that have been providing world-class ceramic coatings to endless industries for DECADES. It’s what we do.
3 EASY STEPS! – Cerakote’s Ceramic Headlight Restoration Kit is a simple, 30 minute process. Step 1: You’ll be mesmerized by our Oxidation Remover as you wipe away the hazy surface oxidation. Step 2: Use our ergonomic surface prep pad to remove the deep oxidation and prep your headlight for the CERAMIC clear coating. Step 3: Cerakote’s pre-moistened Ceramic Headlight Restoration Wipes restore your headlights to a like-new condition that will last as long as you own your vehicle.
WHY TRUST CERAKOTE? – Cerakote is regarded as the world’s leading innovator and manufacturer of true inorganic ceramic polymer technology. The ceramic polymers and coatings produced at Cerakote’s US facility are trusted by some of the most advanced aerospace, automotive and technology companies in the world. Rely on the industry leader to protect what matters to you.

Almost better than new, but TAKE ‘BEFORE’ PHOTOS!
Just did the headlight restoration this morning. The process took me about an hour including the full prep of washing my car, putting painter’s tape around the headlights to protect the paint, application and cleanup (not including the dry time, which they say is an hour after the final step).I forgot to take a “before” photo, so the photos I included here were the most recent photos of my headlights, they’re from a year ago and I can tell you for sure my headlights were in much worse shape before I restored them this morning. They were very yellow and super cloudy. So my first most important piece of advice is, take the before photo! The transformation is so dramatic that I was instantly kicking myself. But as you can see, the results are amazing. I’ve done headlight restoration before but never did I get a result that looks almost like a brand new headlight. In fact my gf’s 2024 RAV4’s headlights don’t look this shiny.Cerakote says they will protect your headlights “for as long as you own your vehicle”, which is ambiguously clever as this vehicle has 172K miles, and could last another 172K under the most ideal conditions (I’d be happy to get another 75K).So how old might I be when that happens? At my estimation, I will be 67 years old. Will I still own this vehicle? Could this ceramic coating possibly last that long?If it lasts one third of my guestimation, I will be extremely impressed. If it lasts ten years, I will be very impressed. For the price, I’d do this every 2 years without an issue if I had to. It was easy, and the immediate results are astounding.Other headlight restoration seems to cut too many corners compared to this application. This kit takes some prep, a little elbow grease and attention to detail, but it’s not much more work to be a little more thorough and achieve far better results. But I reiterate that you will feel much better about buying and using this product if you remember to take before/after photo evidence of its efficacy. That’s my best advice!

    Worked well but be advised…
I bought one of these kits several years ago and then never used it because the instructions were so daunting. They would have me sand one lens for 30 minutes and then move to the other lens. Sorry, no. But this kit was far easier if perhaps a little more complex and I managed to get myself to actually use it and am pleased with the results. My car had become almost undriveable at night from the cloudiness of the lenses. I could drive around all night with my high beams on and NO ONE would flash me. Now I can see again. The instructions are clear enough but they provide a link to video instructions on You Tube that are worth watching. The important point is that the chemicals this product uses do NOT coexist peacefully with water. You are instructed at two points to wash the lenses and then told you must remove absolutely every drop of water from them. They say if you have access to compressed air, you should use it to get water out of cracks and crevices. I didn’t have compressed air, but I do have a battery driven yard blower that was nearly as effective. The process goes as follows:1) Wash your lenses with soap and water. Rinse then dry, dry, dry, blowdry, dry and let is sit in the hot sun for 2 hours. Just kidding. Make sure it is bone dry.2) Apply their oxidation removal chemicals. This comes from soaked pads, 4 per lens. This requires you wear gloves but they have thoughtfully provided them. This was weirdly effective and satisfying.3) When dry, sand with the 2000 and 3000 grit sandpaper they’ve provided along with a comfortable “block” to do it with.4) Wash and dry, dry, dry… you get the picture5) Apply sealant. A single coat applied in overlapping stripes. Easier than it sounded6) Allow to dry for at least an hourThe result had the appearance of clear glass. You couldn’t ask for better. However, when it became dark out and I turned on the headlights, I discovered that there were tiny defects IN the lens plastic. The effect was similar to a bright light revealing dust particles floating in the air. Being inside the lens material, there was nothing this treatment or any other could do so I have not marked them down for that. Mind you, this is a 9 year old Hyundai Tucson with 112,000 miles on it which has spent about 80% of its life in the Florida sunshine.Despite the instructions telling me to take before pictures of both lenses, I did not do so. I think you all have a fair idea what they looked like. I have attached a picture of the lens under normal illumination and again with the high beams lit showing the defects in the lens material. It is claimed that this treatment – effectively the sealant used in the last step – will last the lifetime of the car. It has only been two weeks since I treated my headlights and there has been no visible deterioration in that short time span. If things deteriorate before I’m done with this car I will tack it on to this review. I have bought another kit since using this one for my daugher to use on her car. So, I would buy it again.

Als je de instructies volgt en gewoon rustig je tijd neemt (1 tot 1,5 uur) dan is dit echt top spul! Heeft mijn lelijke, vergeelde koplampen weer super mooi en helder gemaakt.

For the last 6 years I have been sanding and polishing the headlights on my wife’s car (VW Passat) every year as they are plastic and have got to the age where they go opaque between MOTs.Sanding and polishing works but it is a pain in the bum.Thought I would give this kit a go.Still requires a bit of elbow grease but nothing like what I used to have to do.The 1st stage with the chemical that takes the worst of the oxidisation off makes a huge difference on its own. 2nd stage is a quick sand with the supplied wet and dry paper (I gave each light maybe three or four minutes sanding. 3rd stage is just wiping the final coat over the lights and they really do come up amazingly well.Once I got started I realised there was enough stuff in the box for two cars.If you have ever had to sand/polish your lights before, just get this. So, so easy, and an amazingly bright, clear finish. Wish I had done it years ago
