I have combination, super oily but also dry skin with retinol use, textured, large pores, and acne prone. Over the years, I have tried tons of different cleansers for my complicated skin and this is by far one of my favorites for daily/nightly use!Cetaphil is a trusted brand name, recommended by my dermatologist. After starting retinol, I needed a cleanser without harsh ingredients that doesn’t exacerbate the dryness effect of retinol. This cleanser is a great price, in a BIG bottle that lasts a long time, the pump allows for quick/easy access and can lock for mess-free travel, helps hydrate my skin while cleansing, leaves my skin super clean/soft/matte without drying or stripping my natural oils, doesn’t exacerbate my naturally oily skin, doesn’t give me breakouts, and has a nice light clean scent. It foams too which I love (I know foam cleansers aren’t the best, but my skin just doesn’t feel clean without them!).I use this every morning and night, and have repurchased it many times. After trying so many different cleansers, this is by far my FAVORITE! I do have a different stronger salicylic acid cleanser that I use when I have breakouts, but I haven’t needed it for months because my skincare routine has been working so well!If you are looking for a simple cleanser that gives great results, I HIGHLY recommend buying this one! Best cleanser for a hot sweaty day of yard work or washing off makeup
I like that this is thick and it moisturizes as well as cleans. It doesn’t feel greasy nor doesn’t leave a nasty film behind. I’ve replaced my Aveno redness relief facewash with this and haven’t looked back. The redness relief calming moisturizer by Aveno left my skin feeling dried out which made it red and sometimes burnt feeling when too dried out. This gets make up off easily but then again I don’t put a lot of makeup on just foundation and powder. I’ve seen comments about this cleanser not getting off makeup and honestly believe in modesty. “A little goes a long way” with makeup and maybe that is why I don’t have a problem using this cleanser to get it off. Nor should this be used for mascara removal. Use Vaseline for mascara or eyeliner removal instead. It is safer for your eyes and helps your skin. However as I have very dry skin prone to red itchiness I also use a deep hydration Olay fashwash after using this cleanser to put moisture back into skin followed by a strong face moisturizering cream.

I like a foaming facewash. I also trust Cetaphil, but for the longest time I was not aware of Cetaphil having a foaming facewash. The product looks like regular Cetaphil face wash, even when you dispense the product it looks the same. That is were the similarity stops, it lathers nicely giving you a gentle fragrance free cleaning experience for cleaning your face. Leaving your skin feeling supple and clean and highly recommended.

I love this product. I was purchasing it again, but had to buy and have it shipped. The product had been taped over the dispenser part, which is just white plastic, the tape was very strong tape, which obviously was to prevent it from getting depressed and losing product and making a mess, but it was so tightly taped that when I took it off, the dispenser came off also. I put it back on, but it was impossible to use, each time I tried to depress it to obtain some product the dispenser part fell off again . This product itself is very good. Just need a better dispenser pot or a box to prevent it having to have it to be taped down if shipped.
