    Lovely Color Tone and Easy Application
    I would like to state that the color of the shadow does not apply as dark as it appears. The “darkness” is more subtle once it’s actually applied to the skin; I provided a picture that shows this. I don’t like using bold eyeshadows – I just like enough to give definition and contrast to my fair skin. I have been using this specific shadow color for nearly three years and continue to love it. I tried changing one time and was sorely disappointed and immediately returned to the Tapestry Taupe color.Yeah yeah yeah, Covergirl may not be thee ‘nontoxic make-up’ brand, but I’ve learned that it can sometimes be more toxic to be so overly staunch about the ingredients. Make-up is just not the hill I’m willing to die on. If I like a certain make-up and it applies well, lasts all day, and is reasonably priced, I will continue to buy and use it.

    Great for a smoky blue look! Beautiful blue color and darker blue for contouring.
    I went to the local stores and I could not find eye shadow with a smoky blue color anywhere.What the heck? Even on Amazon it took me a long time to find this.(Not to mention ending up settling and ordering a color I didn’t even like that was brownish) UNTIL I found this! FINALLY! So I appreciate the fact it is not a dying species. I don’t understand why company’s are not making this color anymore but so thankful and happy to finally find my match made in heaven.

    Perfect, no allergic reaction to this one!
    After trying many of the brands out there, the big names and not so big, and realizing that I am allergic to all, I purchased this one already prepared to the fact that it may not work for me. Instead, by my greatest surprise, this powder has not irritated my eye skin nor made my eyes swell the least. It does not have all the glitzy shine that current fashion eye powders emphasize these days – which I don’t like any way – but it works as intended and mostly it does not hurt me. The color palette is excellent and the powders go on smooth;y and bleand easily. This product is definitely a keeper.

    Decent Eyeshadow, cheap Case
    I really like this color and when I have a pallet it’s always the first one that hits the pan. So I saw this and figured instead of buying a whole new pallet. I would buy this color. The color is good and buildable. It’s not the longest lasting shadow, but if you use a primer, you should be OK.The applicator is old fashioned and practically useless to apply the eyeshaow or blend. Not an issue, as I use better brushes. The case itself is flimsy and if not careful , will break- same thing just old fashioned, no reason why it cannot be in a better case. These are the ones that always break. I am happy with the purchase far as color..true description and picture and of course, price.

    Tapestry Taupe is my go-to color
    The color is gorgeous and would work on most light to medium skin tones. Darker skin tones may find the color a bit frosty, so depending on your makeup tastes, just be aware. It’s a rue taupe color – a greyish nude – with a little bit of shimmer, which makes it easy to blend. I have oily skin and don’t usually use an eye primer, and I’ve never had trouble with the color creasing or being patchy. Very silky application and easily blends with other shadows.
