Smells Be Damned
Every once in a while, for no particular reason, garbage disposals just get an odor. Whether it’s just from something particularly gross being down there or what have you. But I love these packets. They take care of any odors and give you a peace of mind knowing that your drain is a little cleaner than when you started. Not earth shattering (because it’s a garbage disposal) but a nice finishing touch to a kitchen clean.

I read the directions over a couple times, and then proceeded to clean my disposal. No foam. But the directions did say that could happen, and to try again. So I did. No foam again. But I will say that my sink doesn’t stink like it did. So that is a win. I don’t know if it’s working like it should, but my sink does smell a lot better, so what do you think? I probably won’t get this brand again, but I will continue to clean the disposal out regularly.

Saved me from replacing my garbage disposal…
This cleaner is the real deal…my current garbage disposal is about 3 and half decades old, installed some time in the 90’s by the previous owner of my house. It recently, for the first time ever in my ownership, started to not work when the switch was flipped on. It wasn’t a power issue because the house circuit breaker was not engaged & I could always hear the motor “hum” …but the blade assembly simply would not spin. So being annoyed and looking for a “quick” solution, I first spent about $120 on a local plumber to come in and basically tell me there’s nothing wrong with the unit and that its an age issue. If I didn’t want to pay the company about 600 bucks to replace the entire thing, I should cope and just adjust/clear the assembly whenever it gets stuck by using the typical garbage disposal tool (1/4” allen wrench). Well I did that for about a month following, only to find out the using the tool didn’t guarantee fixing the problem …and I sometimes had to use multiple tools and rubber mallet tap on the unit to eventually (sometimes in excess of 30min) get the thing working. Not motivated (yet) to follow a Youtube video to uninstall the unit, dissasembling it, and cleaning it out manually, I had a hunch of one last thing I can try that I haven’t up to this pt. A detergent cleaner. So I researched and tried this Glisten brand chemical powder …and within the 1st use, I noticed it took the “scrubbing” blue foam longer than the 1-2 minutes to fully dissolve and disappear into the disposal as described in the instructions (perhaps like 4 or 5min for me). But then the motor began moving in a completely smooth unrestricted fashion and humming at an almost like new tone. After completing the initial cleaning, I followed up with anothe one about an hr later. It obviously and likely super cleaned & cleared out years of gung and food buildup that was impeding the unit …likely somewhere where I didnt have access to with the garbage disposal tool or couldn’t see. Suffice it to say almost a month later my garbage disposal turns on every time now, and disposes of food as effectively as ever. Continuing to follow the recommended weekly cleaning, which is why I recommend you try the 4 pack if you’re skeptical about this product, but then get yourself the 24 pack as its much more economical. Will update if the performance of this product changes but most definitely a 5 star experience at this point! Try it and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

E’ l’unico prodotto che ho provato e trovato sul mercato, usato perchè in periodi di scarso utilizzo, dal dissipatore usciva un po’ di odore di scarico.L’utilizzo è semplice e rapido e al momento mi trovo bene.Anche se non esce odore ho programmato l’uso periodico, anche per la manutenzione ordinaria del dissipatore e per non accumulare eventuale sporcizia o grasso.Consiglio.
