    Honestly better than most listerine
    I’m a dental hygienist and use to really frown upon listerine due to the burn factor causing tissue sloughing. Honestly I use to advise patients against listerine. I ran out of my normal mouthwash that unfortunately is no longer being made and decided I needed something quick. I build up plaque around my lower fixed retainer which leads to calc pretty easily. Decided to give this a go and honestly, I can say that it really has helped with plaque accumulation that leads to inflammation. Flavor and that zing of listerine (menthol) is still there and really strong (in my opinion) which I don’t really like.

    Listerine ‘GUM THERAPY’???
    Listerine ‘Gum Therapy’??I like this product; it’s as good as any other mouthwash – but not any better. When did Listerine’s decades old formula of Antiseptic Mouthwash become elevated to Gum Therapy.(I’m glad it was on sale for 25% off – still, I’d have bought the Amazon brand if I had bothered to scrutinize the label)I happened to notice that the Active Ingredients of this ‘Gum Therapy’ formula was completely IDENTICAL to most other Listerine mouthwashes I found listed on Amazon. It seems that they change the color, (maybe the flavor) and the label – but the Active Ingredients are identical. I didn’t research the price comparisons among the various iterations of the Listerine product.However, I did happen to compare it to the active ingredients of my CVS branded and Kroger branded antiseptic mouthwashes that I already had at home – and guess what?IDENTICAL ACTIVE INGREDIENTS.So, then I looked at the Amazon branded antiseptic mouthwash which is about the same price ($8) – EXCEPT, you get 1 Liter of Listerine vs 1.5 Liters of Amazon product.Interestingly – all of the other brands I mentioned simply market themselves as ‘antiseptic mouthwash’ while Listerine has a few different names with the identical formula. I know it’s all marketing – but, I’d rather have just stuck with the CVS, Kroger, or Amazon brand for a significant savings since the active ingredients are identical.See 3 pictures of ingredients labels.
