Had to drill, but it looks nice now
I am pretty sure that I can’t blame this Metra kit for my Chevy Silverado – I only bought it after deciding that a super cheap LED radio with bluetooth connection was what my 2006 needed. I went for the “Naifay Double Din Car Stereo Compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 7 inch HD Touchscreen,” and I’m going to bet that the Naifay was why I needed to drill holes on the side plates of the Metra for the radio to sit flush. I had to drill all four (two per side) holes. One hole on each side that ran into the already-there mounting slots, and one hole each side that was about 3 to 4 mm away from the slot.

Itâs Metra what else is there to say?
The only radio surrounds I will ever buy.

the product works fine.
Bought this for a 2004 Toyota Matrix. Definitely works for this make, model and year of car. However, the instructions included are incorrect. They indicate which tabs to break off for a Matrix, but after breaking them off and then removing my old stereo, it became obvious that I had broken off the wrong ones. The instructions are clear as to which tabs to remove, but they are the wrong tabs. My opinion, remove your old stereo first and use the old mounting bracket to see which tabs to break off. Other than the instructions, the product works fine.

Aftermarket Double Din
It did the job. The diagram of clip/tab removal…. Too Small. I had to use a magnifying glass to see it clearly.

Absolute waste of money
What a pile of steaming garbage. I followed the instructions to a T. Took off all the tabs as shown. Attempted to attach to the deck; nothing lined up. Tried sliding the deck into the dash once I had created my own holes to attach and the tabs donât even come close to lining up in the dash slots? Who engineered this atrocity?!? Of course, now that Iâve done exactly as instructed in the exceptionally convoluted manual, I canât return it BECAUSE ITS HACKED TO PIECES!!!Things that would be a better investment of your $12 and would work better than this âkitâ:- duct tape- bailing twine- styrofoam packing- old shoelacesIn short, donât buy this unless you enjoy wasting money and time. I should have known better when I saw that it fits like 500 different vehicles…

Be careful…
It worked well. Be sure to double and triple check before the full install. The unused tabs are meant to be broken off and there are lots of them. Once you break them off, there is no fix for it. The product itself made for seamless integration into dashboard of my car and looks as though I had it done by a professional.

Good value. Worked well
Fit perfect on my 03 Tahoe. Instructions are a little all over the place but itâs pretty straight forward.

Product clearly says it will work for my year And make of truck. It does not. In order for this kit to work and not look like hell you need to buy anew dash panel for well over 200.

Not wide enough for the opening on a Grand Prix. Sunfire and Grand Am are slightly more narrow.

I purchased this Install Kit to install a Double DIN Android head Unit into my 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche LT Z71. The install kit has break-off tabs to form-fit it for each individual vehicle. The instructions were a bit confusing to follow and I ended up breaking off a tab that I needed to keep. I was able to make it work using the stereo bracket, but this kit is very easy to break the wrong area off. Also, if you do not use the correct size of pliers, you will likely crack the mounting bracket. After that fiasco, the install was fairly simple and it fits decently well. Would highly recommend trying to find an install kit that is specifically made for your vehicle as they will be tailored to fit a bit better. Otherwise the installation was fairly easy and the finish looks quite nice.
