Works well and is convenient
I had hoped this, being advertised as a “fast charger” would charge my iPhone as quickly as the fat Apple fast charging bricks that can take a phone from 10% to 65% in about 20 to 30 minutes. As a test, today I plugged my phone in while I drove to work. I began the morning at 65%, drove for 40 minutes only playing music over bluetooth, and when I got to the office, I was at 84%. Yes, it’s faster than the car’s on-board USB which is really slow, but it’s about the same as other car chargers that deliver 2.1 amps of charging current. I don’t know what the charging amps are on the fast big iPhone AC chargers are, but I have to believe they’re more than the 2.4 amps this unit supplies because those big adapters charge so much faster.
That being said, I do really like this charger a lot. The retractable cable includes an apple Lightning plug, and a USB-C plug. You can charge an older iPhone, or a newer iphone, android phone, or iPad with the handy retractable cables. I really like the retractable cable features.
In case the retractable cables aren’t long enough, you still have standard USB and USB-c jacks to plug in a separate cable. The charging ports are clearly labeled as 2.4 amps and 3 amps of charging.
The enclosure for the charger is big, and I was worried about it fitting inside my car’s console, but because the 12-volt plug has a wide range swivel on it, I was able to make it fit just fine. The swivel is another nice feature.
The enclosure itself is also of note. It has a very sturdy, quality, heavy feel to it. It’s not a cheap charger you’d pick up at a gas station alongside your Coca Cola and beef jerky. It’s a quality product and a really nice item. Although it is advertised as a fast charger, it’s not as fast as I hoped. Mind you, it’s not slow – but I had hoped for the speed of charging I got with my fat plug in charger bricks at home.
Overall this is a great product, and high quality. I am happy with it.

Quality item, no complaints
This is now my go to charger for trips where we rent a car. You never really know what port options you are going to have in a rental but I have yet to rent one that does not at least have a lighter type socket like this somewhere up front. I have an IPhone and the wife has an Android so this is perfect with the two charging cables we need. Also if others are with us or need to charge additional items the additional USB ports are also a huge plus.

Charges fast
I love that the cords are retractable and already come equipped – will always have a cord to charge anyone’s device. I got to test this on a long drive recently, and loved that it held a charge (and charged my phone to full! I have a Samsung, so I used the USB-C cord. Can’t speak to the lightening cord) I haven’t been able to test how it holds up over time, but it worked great for my first long trip

Powerful, tidy, cheap but a little large
For $20 you get a whole lot:
I love the retractable cables I like my car to be neat and I hate cables dangling around. Having both lightening and usb-c means I don’t need a different cable when my wife drives the car.
I don’t really need the extra two ports but it’s handy to have them. Ideally an option without those two would be good to reduce the size but given the very low price I can’t complain.
It’s much larger than a regular charger, since it has to house the cables but it fits nicely in my center console. But you’ll need to be sure that it fits in the your car.
USB-C charges quickly, I have not compared it scientifically but it feels about the same as my previous fast charger.
Overall – love it, great value and love the features.
