    Blocks out extraneous light and doesn’t hurt your eye. Not quite as solid as the OM one but the functionality is far greater

    Excellent replacement part
    When the eyecup of my OM-D E-M1 MK.II came unattached and vanished in the street, in a country with no Olympus/OM dealers, I panicked. Perhaps not essential, but it makes a big difference. I went online, and found this item on Amazon, which had the bonus of a deeper eyecup. It was high;y recommended, a very reasonable price, and with delivery to Brazil. Great. I bought one and it arrived within a week, on the day promised. Tthat’s a big surprise for anything imported in Nrazil.So, to sum up, great service, good price, and exactly what I needed. It was easy to fit and probably worth buying just for the deeper flexible eyecup, even if you don’t need to replace the original item.

    Works well on E-M1 II but a bit fragile
    I really like this eyecup. It makes the viewfinder much easier to see in direct sunlight.The first one I bought lasted about six months, then the rubber tore where it attaches to the plastic mount.It is good enough that I am buying another one. If it lasted longer I would give it five stars.

    This Will Fit NX1 With Mod
    There is not many parts for my Samsung NX1. This eye cup worked very well. I cut the eye senser frame out of the eye cup and it fits snug and very well on the NX1 eye piece frame. Turned on the camera and the senser still works cuts off lcd and activates viewfinder. Worked for me.

    For eyeglass users like myself, this is a must buy.
    I got this to substitute the one that comes with the camera. Like I mentioned in the headline, I feel it’s a must-buy for anyone who uses eyeglasses or if not, just wants to really focus on the subject, since it presses nicely to your eye being soft. I feel it improves how you see through the camera’s view finder.

    Very poor quality and fit
    This lens cup is not an easy fit on a OLYMPUS EM1 miii. Additionally, the cup itself appears to be a poor mix is rubber and plastic. It is NOT SOFT against the eye and protrudes somewhat against the socket making it rather uncomfortable.I buy a far amount of items from AMAZON and rarely review items. This is a rare exception. Made in China ….. ( what isn’t today) BUYER BEWARE.

    Well-made but unfortunately on OM-1 it blocks the outer portion of the viewfinder
    I liked the idea of being able to block out sunlight from around the viewfinder, but I lost the outer portion of the view itself.

    The good and the bad.
    Good: It is much softer and more accommodating than the original eyepiece, especially if you wear glasses.Bad: It is also easier to damage, especially when installing.Good: It projects outward from the body more than the original, so you will get less sweat or makeup on the camera screen.Bad: This means that it adds to the camera’s profile, and while it can be pushed in/down, see above re: damage.
