Newer cars do not have CD players but we still like to listen to CDs. Got a new car and bought this bcuz the car doesnât have CD player. Shocker!Works great and good value for the money. Easy to use. The only part not too keen on is the cord is not long enough. Had to buy extender.

Product did not work in my vehicle
Product is very solid and quality made. Unfortunately, it did not work in my vehicle. Attempted installation without USB extension cable as product directions indicated. Also, tried 5 different CD’s and none worked. Stereo system was able to see player plugged into USBA port. However, was unable to complete indexing of CD to complete installation process. Received error message indicating a “read error” occurred and installation aborted. Sadly will have to return unit for a refund and try to find another that is compatible with my vehicle at a similar price point.

Not a perfect solution but it’s close
New cars come without CD players these days. Some of us are old school and dislike streaming. While not a perfect solution, it’s as close to perfect as I can find. CDs that have songs that transition in to the next song, such as the medley on side 2 of Abbey Road, don’t play well. There is a gap between the songs, whereas, there should be a smooth transition. For me, this limits the CDs I can listen to. So albums of that nature, I stream instead. Also, it doesn’t provide artist name, CD title or song titles. It just lists file folders and track numbers. That’s a small annoyance I can live with.Other than that, so far, I love this thing. Once I plugged it in to my USB port. The one I normally use for android auto, select the source on my screen and it works perfectly. Volume adjustment and track selection can be done on the steering wheel controls and it sounds fantastic through my car’s sound system, which is a standard factory system. Another thing, It handles bumpy roads well. This thing hasn’t skipped yet! If you prefer CDs and your vehicle doesn’t have a player, this is an excellent solution. As long as you’re aware of its limitations and that’s not a problem for you.

Works great
In addition to this player, I also have a MITO (MIT-USBCDPLAYER). The latter is slimmer and fits perfectly in the center console designed to hold cups. This player, in contrast, is larger and doesn’t fit well in that space. Nevertheless, I like this player far better. It’s sturdier and just seems to play my CDs far better. No skipping or distortion. It just plain works. So, to me, the quality of this player is higher. I’ll keep the MITO as a backup, but I’m very satisfied with this player. I will keep thinking about how to mount it in a good and SAFE spot so it doesn’t pose any risks to me or any passengers. Overall, two thumbs up. I’m using it in a 2018 Buick Encore.

Feels good in the hand but don’t let that fool you
Product is super cheap and quality control is no doubt a huge issue. The first one I got did not work so I had it replaced through Amazon for another. Well to my surprise. The second one does work, however it constantly and randomly skips tracks and refuses to eject a cd unless you unplug it and plug it back in 10 times. For the price on this unit I had much higher hopes. Note: it is mounted flat as it should be not vertical or on its side. And it stays on a padded surface.

The only thing additional required was a USB-C to USB 3 adapter (works with USB 2 as well) as the CD Player didn’t have the USB-C needed as the 2023 Corolla has the smaller USB-C ports, it comes with a USB 2 cord. Not a problem as the adapter only cost $10 more for a set of 2. Anyway, we can once again listen to CDs in the car! The player sounds good, works well and is pretty stable so going over bumps isn’t a problem.
